The GT Sports & Saloons category grew out of the 111 Sports & Saloons. A number of drivers (and cars) had progressed to the point that they were capable of lap times quicker that the 1’11 specified in the 111 Sports & Saloons rules.

To cater for these competitors, the GT Sports & Saloons category was introduced. A full copy of Regulations and Specifications can be found here.
